AGGREGAT is Sharp's new trio with bassist Brad Jones and drummer Ches Smith, and is probably the closest to a jazz group that he's ever done! Working from melodies, rhythmic cells, and conceptual approaches, improvisation expands upon the compositional cores. The first CD of Aggregat will be released in June 2012 on Clean Feed from Lisbon. In Aggregat, Sharp concentrates more on tenor and soprano saxophones as well performing on electric guitar.
